I DID WORK FOR CIGNA MEDICARE ADMINISTRATION FOR TEN LONG YEARS. THOUGH I HAVE COLLEGE DEGREE, THOUGH I HAVE LOT OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CIGNA COMPANY OPERATIONS, THOUGH I HAVE LOT OF COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE, CIGNA MEDICARE KEPT ME IN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION FOR TEN LONG YEARS. NOW CIGNA MEDICARE TERMINATED ME UNDER INSUBORDINATION CAUSE. WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY NATIONAL ORIGIN DISCRIMINATION. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ENTIRE CIGNA COMPANY'S DISCRIMINATION PLEASE READ ENTIRE MY STORY. I HAVE JOINED WITH MEDICARE COMPANY IN OCTOBER 1988. I AM FROM INDIA, HAVING MASTERS DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING. I HAVE STUDIED ENTIRE CIGNA MEDICARE OPERATIONS FOR 2 YEARS. AND START APPLYING JOBS FOR ADVANCEMENT. BUT EVERY TIME CIGNA MEDICARE SELECTING LESS EDUCATED AND LESS EXPERIENCE PERSONS. MOST OF THE TIME CIGNA MEDICARE DID NOT EVEN CALL ME FOR INTERVIEW. I HAVE SUGGESTED SEVERAL GOOD SUGGESTIONS TO IMPROVE SERVICES. I STUDIED DAY AND NIGHT CIGNA MEDICARE BOOKS FOR 3 YEARS AND I MASTERED ABOUT CIGNA COMPANY OPERATIONS. BUT CIGNA MEDICARE COMPANY DID NOT GIVE ME ANY KIND OF ADVANCEMENT. COUPLE OF TIMES THEY DID NOT EVEN GIVE ME ANY KIND OF PAY RAISE. BUT REST OF THE CIGNA MEDICARE COMPANY EMPLOYEES GOT YEARLY PAY RAISE. CIGNA MEDICARE GAVE ME VERY HARD TIME IN THE JOB, SO THAT I CAN QUIT THAT JOB. BUT I DID NOT DO IT, I HAPPEND TO CONTACTED DOCTORS AND USED SOME DEPRESSION DRUGS FOR A WHILE. ALL MY JUNIORS, AND HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES BECAME MY SUPERIORS. MY SUPERVISOR KARON FURGUSON CALLED ME FOR YEARLY EVALUATION IN 1996. KARON FERGUSON GAVE EVERY ONE GOOD EVALUATION, GOOD PAY RAISE AND ALSO GRADE ADVANCEMENT. TWO YEARS EXPERIENCED LADY GOT MORE GRADES THAN I HAVE. I WAS IN CIGNA MEDICARE AT THAT TIME FOR 8 YEARS. I ASKED KARON FERGUSON " KARON, YOU GAVE MORE GRADE LEVELS TO EVERY ONE, EXCEPT ME. YOU EVEN GAVE MORE GRADE LEVEL FOR 2 YEARS EMPLOYEE. WHY YOU DID NOT GIVE ME GRADE LEVEL INCREASE. KARON FERGUSON TOLD ME "RAJA! YOU CAME FROM OTHER COUNTRY, YOU TALK FUNNY, NO BODY CAN UNDERSTAND YOU HERE, IF YOU WANT GRADE ADVANCEMENT YOU NEED TO TALK LIKE AN AMERICAN TO GET ADVANCEMENT. I HAVE REPORTED IN CIGNA MEDICARE HUMAN RESOURCES, AND I WROTE TO SPEAK EASY DEPARTMENT. BUT NO PROPER ACTION TAKEN ABOUT THAT DISCRIMINATION. I WENT TO BONDED ARBITRATION, BUT I THINK CIGNA DID BRIBE THAT SINGLE ARBITRATOR. I LOST ARBITRATION, I WAS WORKING SAME ENTRY LEVEL POSTION AS USUAL. I APPLIED MANAGER POSTION OF MY SAME DEPARTMENT I WORK, CIGNA MEDICARE DID NOT EVEN CALL ME FOR INTERVIEW. CIGNA MEDICARE SELECTED ONE NICE AND YOUNG GIRL, WHO DOES NOT HAVE ANY EXPERIECE OF MEDICARE, WHO WAS HAVING LESS THAN ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE IN CIGNA MEDICARE. HER NAME IS ANITA WELLS, SHE STRUGGLED FOR ONE YEAR AND LEARNT ABOUT 20 % OF WORK, AND SHE QUIT HER JOB. AND TEMP. MANAGERS WERE MANAGING. I DID APPLY THAT POSITION. I HAD NECK (DISK REPLACEMENT) SURGEORY, AFTER THAT SURGEORY I CAME BACK TO WORK WITH DOCTORS EXECUSE. THAT TIME I HAD LOT OF NECK PAIN, AND USING LOT OF PAIN KILLERS. THAT TIME MY TEMP. MANAGER EXPECTED ME TO WORK HARD AND GET 9 DAYS BACK LOG. I COULD NOT DO IT BECAUSE OF MY NECK PAIN. THOUGH I HAVE MEDICAL EXECUSE I GOT WRITTEN WARNING. IN SEPT. 1998 MY MANAGING DIRECTOR DARRELL TUCKETT INTRODUCED COUPLE OF PEOPLE, ONE IS MARTY FERGUSON AS A ACTING MANAGER STILL PERMANANT MANAGER SELECTED AND SUPERVISOR KRISTY BROOKS. BOTH CAME TO MY MAIL/MICROFILM DEPARTMENT. BOTH ARE WORKING HARD, BUT THEY DO NOT WHAT THEY ARE DOING. MARTY FERGUSON WHO IS ACTING MANAGER FOR 2 MONTHS, CONDUCTED HIS FIRST TEAM MEETING AND TOLD EVERY ONE HE WILL CHANGE ENTIRE MAIL ROOM SYSTEM. NEXT YEAR HE WILL INTRODUCE OTHER THINGS AND MANY OTHER PLANS.SOON AFTER THAT MEETING I WROTE TO CIGNA HEAD OFFICE, ABOUT MARTY FERGUSON LOOKS LIKE PRESELECTED CANDIDATE FOR MAIL ROOM MANAGER. I REQUESTED HEAD OFFICE TO INVOLVE IN THIS JOB SELECTION TO GET FAIR INTERVIEWS TO EVERY ONE. BUT NO ACTION WAS TAKEN. IN OCTOBER 1998, MARTY FERGUSON, WHO IS VERY NEW TO MY UNIT AND ALSO LESS THAN ONE YEAR CIGNA MEDICARE EXPERIENCE, EVALUATED ME THAT I DO NOT HAVE JOB KNOWLEDGE, THAT WAS THE REASON HE DID NOT EVEN GIVE ME ANY PAY RAISE THAT YEAR. IN OCTOBER 1998, I GOT REGRET LETTER THAT I WAS NOT QUALIFIED FOR THE MAIL ROOM MANAGER AND SUPERVISOR POSITION BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE MY JOB KNOWLEDGE AND ALSO I HAVE ONE WRITTEN WARNING. AFTER THAT MARTY FERGUSON GAVE ME TRAINING HOW TO DO MY JOB. SINCE HE IS THE MANAGER, I JUST LISTEN TO HIS ENTIRE TRAINING. BUT THAT EVENING I HAVE IT IN WRITING THAT HIS TRAINING WAS WRONG, BUT AS A EMPLOYEE I WILL FOLLOW HIS TRAINING. AND ALSO I TOLD ABOUT HIS INCORRECT TRAINING TO MY MANAGING DIRECTOR DARRELL TUCKETT. BUT NO ONE TOOK ANY KIND OF ACTION. THOUGH I KNOW THAT HIS TRAINING WAS WRONG, I DID NOT HAVE ANY KIND OF CHOISE. ON NOVEMBER 3RD MY TEMP. SUPERVISOR CAME WITH LOT OF CLAIMS WHICH WAS MIS-ROUTED BY ME. KRISTY BROOKS TOLD ME RAJA ALL THESE CLAIMS WAS SENT TO WRONG PLANCES, WHAT IS YOUR EXPAINATION. I SAID I KNOW THAT, BUT I DO NOT HAVE ANY CHOISE, OTHER THAN FOLLOWING MARTY FERGUSON'S (MY MANAGER) NEW APPROACH. I TOLD YOU, I GAVE IT IN WRITING TO MARTY FERGUSON AND ALSO I TOLD TO DARRELL TUCKETT ABOUT IT, NO BODY TOOK ANY KIND OF ACTION. KRISTY BROOKS ASKED ME TO HELP ME TO FIX THAT PROBLEM. I TOLD KRISTY BROOKS, CIGNA MEDICARE GAVE ME POOR EVALUATION. THOUGH I AM IN THIS POSITION ABOUT 10 YEARS, YOU WROTE IN MY EVAUATION THAT I DO NOT HAVE MY JOB KNOWLEDGE. IF YOU THINK I HAVE MY JOB KNOWLEDGE, IF YOU THINK I CAN FIX THIS PROBLEM, I WANT YOU TO FIX MY OCTOBER 1998 EVALUATION. AND ALSO I WANT YOU TO TAKE MY WRITTEN WARNING. AND I NEED PAY RAISE JUST LIKE EVERY ONE IN THE MAIL ROOM. SO THAT I CAN FIX IT. KRISTY BROOKS TOLD ME SHE FIX NOTHING, AND SHE ORDERED ME TO FIX THAT PROBLEM. I SAID, ENTIRE WORLD IS DEPENDING ON ONLY TWO WORDS, THAT IS "GIVE AND TAKE", BUT IN MY CASE CIGNA MEDICARE ALWAYS TAKING AND GIVE ME NOTHING. IT WILL NOT HAPPEND THIS TIME. YOU NEED TO FIX MY 1998 EVALUATION,GIVE ME PAY RAISE JUST LIKE EVERY ONE ELSE AND REMOVE WRITTEN WARNING FROM MY FILE. KRISTY SAID NO, I SAID NO TO HER. NEXT DAY KEVIN LEAKS (H.R. DIRECTOR) DARRELL TUCKETT (MANAGING DIRECTOR) AND KRISTY BOOKS CALLED ME FOR MEETING. I TOLD THE SAME THING, FIX 1998 EVALUATION THAT I HAVE MY JOB KNOWLEDGE, REMOVING WRITTEN WARNING AND GIVE ME PAY RAISE JUST LIKE EVERY ONE ELSE. SO THAT I CAN FIX THAT MAIL ROOM PROBLEM. AND ALSO I ADDED THAT IF YOU FIX ALL THESE I WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR MANAGER AND SUPERVISOR POSITIONS. KEVIN LEAKS AND DARRELL TUCKETT SAID THEY WILL NOT FIX THOSE, AND ORDERED ME TO FIX THOSE MAILROOM PROBLEMS. I SAID IF YOU DO NOT FIX THOSE I CAN NOT FIX THOSE PROBLEMS. I AM SMALL ENTRY LEVEL EMPLOYEE IN THAT MAILROOM. IF YOU OR ANY OTHER GIVE ME ANOTHER PLAN I WILL HAPPY TO FOLLOW NEW METHOD. BUT I CAN NOT GIVE MY PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR FREE TO CIGNA. I DID IT FOR TEN LONG YEARS FOR CIGNA. NOW CIGNA MEDICARE NEED TO GIVE ME SOMTHINGS TO TAKE SOME THING. CIGNA MEDICARE TERMINATED ME UNDER INSUBORDINATION CAUSE.
